Reader’s Annotation
Game Informer magazine is the monthly resource for everything that is new and great in the world of video games.

Critical Evaluation
This magazine has a strong appeal for teenage boys in providing the latest in video game news and reviews. It offers a great service to the video game playing population with strategies, game studio interviews, news about new and future games, and reviews of games so that people can see if a game is worth it before buying. With video games going for upwards of $30 a piece and the often limited budget of most teenagers, this magazine is a great resource to help gamers make decisions about which games to purchase and which to forget about.

Reader’s Annotation
Seventeen Magazine has been one of the leading magazines for teenage girls for almost 50 years. Stay up to date on the latest in celebrity information and fashion and make-up tips and trends!

Critical Evaluation
I wasn’t the most girly of teenagers, but if there is one thing I remember about high school it is the stacks of magazines like Seventeen, Sassy, and Teen Vogue that could be found around my room. While I ignored most of the fashion advice, opting for my own unique tastes, I absolutely ate up the articles and quizzes about boys, love and sex. Coming to terms with newfound hormones and feelings about boys can be overwhelming and magazines like Seventeen do teens a service by offering advice and opportunities to realize that you aren’t alone in being lost in your overwhelming teen life. While I never took much of it very seriously, it was always fun to read another perspective and give me hope that one day “Jimmy from science class” might ask me out.
